The climate in Mallorca

The climate of the island of Majorca, the largest island of Spain, is typically Mediterranean with hot, dry summers and cool wet winters.

The island of Mallorca is located off the west coast of Spain in the Mediterranean Sea about 40 degrees north and 50 west. The climate is mild and nice. Summers are hot and sunny, with above average of 82 F (28 C) and average low of 77 F (25 C). Winters are mild with cold, the average maximum temperature of 59 F (15 C)average below 50 F (10 C). The climate is ideal in winter, when most Western and Central Europe in the high range of 40 F (4 C) and lows in the mid-twenties (about -5 C). No wonder that the majority of tourists to Majorca during the winter months are from these regions. The mountains in the northwest of the capital Palma, however, 8-10 degrees cooler than the coast and the report snowfall in winter. However, they have a very pleasant climate in summer, when the peaks areRange from 70 F (21 C) with plenty of sunshine. One thing is common to both coasts and mountains of Majorca its climate and the scarcity of precipitation in summer and winter in its fullness.

The island of Majorca has two types of climatic zones, and the Mediterranean, but much cooler than the others. The mountains in the northwest are a great place to visit in summer, while coastal areas as the capital Palma for a visit in perfectWinter.
